Dr. Elizabeth Ann Bartlett

Dr. Bartlett
Dr. Bartlett is a native Texan, originally from Alice, Texas. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin prior to attending The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She then continued her training in pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, serving her internship and residency at Texas Children’s Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, Texas. Having completed her pediatric training, she moved to Austin in 1996 where she originally worked with Travis Physician Associates prior to opening her own practice in 1997.

She has been active in the hospital community serving on the Medical Executive Board at Seton Northwest Hospital and the Peer Review committee at Children’s Hospital of Austin. She has served as a volunteer physician at the Volunteer Clinic (formerly Caritas Clinic). In her role as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Dr. Bartlett teaches medical students office based clinical care. She is also involved with the Children’s Hospital of Austin’s pediatric residency program and serves as continuity clinic director for one resident per year. She has had the honor of being named one of Austin’s best doctors four times by Austin Monthly magazine. She is board certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Bartlett is married to Dr. Kelly Tjelmeland (it’s Norwegian!) and is mother to three daughters (including one set of twins!).

Dr. Leslie Lace Wells

Dr. Wells grew up in Arlington, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in Zoology. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1997. Houston was her next stop, where she did her pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine. After completing her residency she had the honor of being chosen to stay an extra year as chief resident, when her duties included supervising the Ben Taub General Hospital pediatric ICU, teaching medical students and residents, and taking care of patients at Texas Children's Hospital. She then moved to Austin and joined Hill Country Pediatrics in 2001.

She and husband Ben Wells are the proud parents of two sons. She enjoys reading, traveling, and Longhorn football. She is on the Peer Review Council for Seton Northwest Hospital and is currently starting a UT Orange Jackets Alumni Association. Dr. Wells was honored to be named one of Austin's Best Pediatricians in the January 2009 issue of Austin Monthly.  Dr. Wells is board certified in pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Natalie Blanche Tarrant

Dr. Tarrant grew up in Hunt, Texas, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. After graduating from the University of Dallas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, she attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She then stayed at Baylor to complete her pediatric internship and residency at Texas Children's Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital. Dr. Tarrant moved to Austin to join Hill Country Pediatrics in 2003. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Tarrant and her husband are the proud parents of a new baby girl!

Dr. Carly Thompson

Dr. Thompson is the newest physician at Hill Country Pediatrics. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and went on to attend the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, where she earned her medical degree. Dr. Thompson then completed her pediatric training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and joined Hill Country Pediatrics in July 2010. Dr. Thompson and her husband are the proud parents of a young daughter.
